Just wanted to spread the word about a project that me and several local artists and designers have been working on. The Mellow Mushroom on Southside Blvd (by Tinsletown) approached my man Tim Lenoir( Killroy) a month ago about an idea they had. They wanted to get together ten local artists and desingers to come up with a concept for the new back patio area that they are completing construction on. Thus, the quest begun! The project consists of 19 some odd tables and a huge wall mural. Tim Lenoir , Me(Brian Gray), Marisa Carta, Levi(urbanartwarfare.com), Larry, Erin, (not Karen..LOL) Chad Landenberger, Grant Thornton, and several other artists and designers( couldnt remember everyones name…bad memory) have finished up our customized tables and have completed the huge wall mural yesterday. There will be a launch party for the grand opening of the newly designed patio on 06/21@ 6pm til whenever we feel like going home to sleep. The project was a lot of fun and it was really great working with such talented individuals. Come on out to hang with the artists this Saturday @ 6pm at the Mellow Mushroom on Southside Blvd. Theres gonna be bands, food, drinks, and ofcourse artwork everywhere. Ill post up some pics real soon! I know the Mellow Mushroom put a big ad in the recent folio but, I havent seen it yet. They might have more details on the bands and stuff there.
