FCCJ Sunday Figure Study Exhibit

·         This exhibition which begins March 4^th is open to anyone who has participated in the Sunday Figure Study Open Studio held at FCCJ.  Instructors as well as students.

·         Event will be held at the Center for the Arts on Bay Street with Opening Reception, March 6^th, 6-9p.m.

·         Juried and curated by Lynn Lewis Director of the FCCJ Wilson Art Center

·         We need volunteers to help hang the art.

·         We would like to have volunteers draw a live, draped model during the opening reception.  Contact Vinnie Dolan if you can volunteer.

2.   Submissions Drop Off: Taken March 1st,Sunday 4-7 and Monday March 2nd from 12-2pm

3.   Show Opens: MARCH 4, 2009

4.   Opening Reception: March 6, 2009, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. (that is when we would like volunteers to draw model)

5.   Show Closes: Friday, March 20th

6.   Artwork Pick Up: Sat. March 21st  12-4pm

7.   Eligibility:

This exhibit is open to all Sunday Sketch participants

Rules Of Entry:

*Entry fee is $10.00 for one , $15.00 for 2-3 pieces.

*All work must be original work of the entering artist

*All work must be delivered to the Center for the Arts

*Each member may submit up to 3 pieces of original art to be juried.

*Each member is guaranteed to get at least 1 piece of art in the show.

*All work must be professionally framed, wired and ready to hang. …..

*Each work must have a label attached to the back of the piece that includes name, phone, email, price and media. Use NSF if the piece is not for sale.

*10% of sale price will go to The Art Center. Crafts & More on Beach Blvd. has agreed to be a sponsor.   We need more sponsors so if you know of anyone or a business who might be interested, let Vinnie know or you can approach them yourself.

*Artist may provide bio/resume/press info to be displayed.

*All participants will receive a postcards for the show.

* The artists will need to be present to discuss their art with guests. …..

*A one paragraph Artist Statement and/or BIO for the program/catalogue should be submitted to Vinnie Dolan.

*Inclusion is at the discretion of the Curator.
