I feel ya B.A.D. Just posting it as it comes in to me man. I have emailed the person in charge over at the gallery and dont really have a lot of info for you. I contacted them with what they were asking and Ill make my decision later if I think the gallery seems worth the effort. It didnt take any effort on my part to just send them an email with a few pics . I would have to agree with TC and just send them an email if your interested at all. I got the post off of craigslist, for all I know they might have a press release or a more profesional add somewhere but, I havent seen it myself.

With all due respect, those are questions that could have been easily asked in an e-mail to the gallery before submitting your work. The contributors here don’t always have time to dig up this information, which is the purpose of links being provided to the reader. The energy expended commenting could have easily been used more positively by researching for yourself, if you were actually interested. However we will be mindful in the future to provide more information when posting related subjects.

How about some info ??? Just posting a call for artist without info like, Where is this new Gallery, when is the opening, size restrictions , Ect. isn’t very professional. Something about this new gallery , mission statement, or at least a news release would be nice. Who’s running it, how big is it, how many Artist do you expect to represent ? Come on folks , lets see a little effort here.
If you want me to commit my art, it will take a little more than ” hey, I’m opening a Gallery, send me your pics ! “

With UNF’s recent acquisition of MOCA Jax I definitely see the Drawdown as having MAJOR potential further down the road.

I think if MOCA was serious about making this thing a success they might take the time to contact a certain local artist who has already organized 2 12-hour Drawing Marathons in Jacksonville and ask what him and his team would do to promote and entice not only artists, but art collectors to the event.

Think about it, MOCA!
