Violet Boutique in Five Points is hosting an interactive art opening for artist, Megan Cosby on August 6th. embellish is a collection of cumulated and new paintings by Cosby. The opening includes a specialized window/store display with Cosby’s signature upside-down hearts and living sketches- models resembling the women who Cosby paints.

Megan Cosby’s work is a statement on the contradictory nature of women merged with personal experience. Cosby teamed with violet to make the opening of embellish feel like you’re walking into one of Cosby’s paintings.

Enjoy Music by Jessica Pounds and refreshments by The Sugar Tryst, Sweet and Flour and Danielle Fisher.

Violet is providing a raffle where you can win extra embellishments.

I’ll be featuring all new works during the month of July at my favorite gallery, Avondale Artworks. All works are inspired by the disaster that the BP oil spill has caused to all the different animals that rely on our oceans. My proceeds will be donated to the Bird & Sea Life rescue in the FL panhandle to help with rescue efforts. The opening reception takes place on July 2nd from 6-9pm during First Fridays in Avondale. Drinks, snack, and good times will be provided! Come out and show some love. All works are priced to sell!
