Artist Needed for Halloween Party!

This is a good one! Got a message yesterday about a guy in Mandarin looking for an artist or artists that can help him out with his 80’s themed Halloween Party. Here is the info I received. If interested in doing this just send him an email at the address below!!!

I am having a kick butt 80’s theme Halloween party. I will have over 100 people at my house, a DJ, a party planner (who can use you again for other events), cater and the works. All of my guest will be coming in costume and I have got several actors coming, the lead actor worked for universal for the last 6 years doing all their makeup and prop stunts is also hired to come to my party. I am looking for someone to make me some original cut outs for my party. You would be painting on plywood or foam boards. I have a 80’s theme and don’t have any of the smaller horror movies photos or cut outs like I would like. Comes to mind movies like Critters, killer clowns, the blob, Creepshow, child’s play, the lost boys, Poltergeist, basketcase, garbage pale kids, Howard the Duck, any star trek, the thing, pumpkinhead, aliens, the fly, christine, pet seminary, children of the corn, cats eye, dead zone. I will have freddy and halloween stuff. I know some of this stuff is licensed but I am having a very hard time finding anything I like of it. I will also like some original work. If you think you can help with this please let me know and I’ll talk to you about this. Thanks.

If your interested just click here to send an email to this killer job!

Best of Etsy 08/01- ElJan

This months best of etsy.com goes to Jan Huling or as her id on etsy reads “ElJan”. I saw this munny while browsing and I had to give it up for her devoting the time that it must take to do this. The resulting product is fun, colorful and very imaginative. I really dig what shes doing. Check out all here beaded up goodies over at etsy.com. Buy handmade! Heres the Bio info taken from her etsy.com profile-

Born in Chicago, raised in St. Louis, Jan attended the Kansas City Art Institute, began her career at Hallmark Cards and has since made her way working in NYC as a product designer, Children’s book author, and beadist.
Her work has been featured at the Jersey City Art Museum and will soon be seen in Lark Book’s “500 Handmade Dolls”.
Jan’s favorite quote is, “Garlic is to food what insanity is to art.” Jan loves garlic!

Monster Vectors

Ya got to dig this. 58 vector based monsters that have been collected by the folks at Spoon Graphics in the U.K. Really good stuff. Big thanks to Levi at www.UrbanArtWarfare.com for sending this our way. Really good timing too with the Monster Show and the ICONS show right around the corner. Heres what Spoon Graphics had to say about there collection-

One of my favourite aspects of illustration is character design, particularly the simple and quirky vector based cartoons.  After scouring the internet I’ve compiled an inspirational roundup of my favourite cute character designs from a range of talented artists and illustrators.

Check out the imagas at Spoon Graphics here!

Fashion Victims

Ok, I want to start off by saying I really like Kidrobot and really dig there collection of fresh vinyl toys. The clothing line though is a little to damn weird for me. Who in gods name would wear the outfit above? Seriously! Would you put this on and go out for the night? Would you wear it on a date? Would you be willing to fork over 150.00 plus shipping for such an outfit? I would think that Kidrobot would have a better selection of clothing but, just check out the site to see what I mean. Some of the clothing is ok but, a lot of it is prety damn scary. Yikes!
